Hi, I’m Amy — the founder and heart behind Woofventure, a small Belgian business where every dog lead, collar, and accessory is lovingly handmade from durable Biothane or paracord. Each piece is crafted with care, passion, and a deep love for dogs.
Where It All Began
My passion for dogs started at a very young age, when I first met Honey, our now 13-year-old King Charles Spaniel. I was only five, but from that moment, I knew animals—especially dogs—would always be a huge part of my life. For many years, my dream was to become a vet.
Everything truly came to life when Rosie, my Border Collie, came bounding into my world. Rosie is now four years old and she’s so much more than just a companion—she’s my inspiration, my joy, and the reason Woofventure exists.
Training Rosie and Finding My Path
In 2022, I began self-training Rosie to become my accredited autism assistance dog. That experience deepened my passion for dog training, especially using positive reinforcement methods. Along the way, Rosie and I also earned certificates in trick training, which has become a hobby that both of us love.
From Passion to Purpose
After finishing school, I wasn’t ready to go into further education due to my autism. Instead, I focused on creating something meaningful that would combine both my creativity and my lifelong love for dogs. That’s how Woofventure was born.
I started by designing and handmaking dog leads and collars that I wanted as a discerning dog owner—pieces that are not only practical and durable, but also stylish and full of personality.
